Uh oh are people leaving your site without buying your services? Well you probably didn't expect me to say this, but that's how it works (wait, hear me out).
You see over 90% of first time website visitors will leave you site without buying or contacting you at all. When I first discovered this, I was horrified...seriously. I mean, I knew that I could help these brides, so why didn't they know that?
1. Your irresistible F-REE offer! Because most brides are not buying from you the first time they visit your site, you absolutely must have a way to grab their attention FAST and get their info! Think about what you know that brides want to know. Is it "5 ways to get more bang for your budget with food and beverage," or "7 huge mistakes most brides make when hiring a band or DJ".what is it that you can give for F.REE to capture their attention within a few seconds and click to get the info?
2.Get them on your list!! Now that you have their attention with your F.REE irresistible offer, capture their information so that you can market your services to them over time so that they will buy from you later. This works so unbelievably well AND it's inexpensive to do! You want to get the basics - first name and email address - if nothing else and then this is where your ezine comes in. Market to these brides weekly in order to get your name and expertise in front of them so that they'll buy from you in a matter of months or even weeks!
3. Talk to them (NOT at them) in a conversational format. Too many websites have language that is so formal, like it's a stiff and boring presentation at a corporation. You know that people totally sleep through those, right? And you DON'T want people snoozing their way through your website . because they'll just jump ship anyway.
So, the way to get around this is to talk to them. Don't write copy on your site like an English paper from high school or the college days.
Talk to the bride like you're her best friend. Offer her solutions to her problem, and show her that YOU are the way to have the dream wedding she wants. Period.
4.Use Testimonials!! Use testimonials on your site in order to s-ell your services for you.
Brides are MUCH more likely to use you for their services if someone else is telling them how much you rock and how fabulous you made their wedding. It offers more credibility AND it also has another person selling you instead of you trying SO hard to convince them about why to hire you. And, that hard sale strategy makes us all feel a little weird, doesn't it? So don't do it. Have an entire page on your site DEDICATED to testimonials from your past brides with their smiling faces promoting you loud and clear!
